WHEN TRAVEL PLANS CHANGE

Cancellation Policy

A change of plans starts with knowing which parts of your booking can be cancelled, what deadlines apply and what happens next.

Last updated:

1. The rules attached to your booking

Globixfare helps arrange flights, holidays and tours through travel suppliers. A voluntary cancellation is assessed against the fare or package conditions provided with your booking. Rules can differ between an airline ticket, accommodation, a transfer and an activity, even when they are part of the same trip.

Read the cancellation terms before paying. A quoted itinerary is not a promise of free cancellation, and non-refundable or restricted services may have limited options. Nothing in this policy removes rights that apply under consumer or passenger-protection law.

2. How to request a cancellation

Contact Globixfare using the phone number or email on our Contact page. Include your booking reference, traveler names, departure date and the services you want to cancel. Requests must come from the booking holder or an authorized representative; we may need to verify your identity.

An enquiry about cancellation costs does not itself cancel a reservation. Ask us to confirm whether a request has been received, whether supplier action is needed and when the cancellation is effective. Keep the written confirmation for your records.

  • Identify whether you are cancelling the whole trip or selected travelers or services.
  • Tell us if a flight departs soon or another supplier deadline is approaching.
  • Do not send full card numbers, card security codes or unnecessary identity documents by email.

3. Timing, penalties and service charges

Cancellation costs may depend on the time remaining before departure, fare type, supplier terms and services already used. Ask for a breakdown of any applicable supplier penalty and any Globixfare service charge disclosed for your booking before authorizing a voluntary cancellation.

Supplier deadlines may use a different time zone from yours. A request sent near a cutoff may not reach the supplier before that cutoff. Missing a flight, transfer, check-in or tour without cancelling in time can be treated as a no-show under the supplier's rules.

4. Packages and partially used travel

A holiday can contain separately confirmed services. Cancelling a flight does not automatically cancel a hotel or transfer, and cancelling one traveler may change a shared room or group price.

For partially used bookings, the supplier determines whether any unused component retains refundable value, subject to applicable law. Ask us to review each component rather than assuming the full package has one cancellation rule.

5. When a supplier changes or cancels a service

If an airline or another supplier cancels or materially changes a service, available options may include alternative arrangements or a refund. The options depend on the affected service and applicable passenger or consumer rights, not only the voluntary-cancellation conditions.

Do not assume every travel-agent booking has a free 24-hour cancellation window. Ask which cancellation or hold conditions apply to your specific reservation.

Read U.S. Department of Transportation guidance for applicable flights

6. Cancellation and refund are separate steps

Cancelling a booking does not automatically establish its refundable amount. A refund assessment may be needed after cancellation, and any travel credit may have its own expiry date and conditions.

Our Refund Policy explains how amounts, payment methods and processing updates are handled. Contact us if you need written confirmation of your cancellation or the status of a related refund.
